One or more application servers should be available for each ebs instance (for example: an application server for the live environment and another for a test environment).
The ebs server installer allows multiple features to be installed on the same server, or alternatively spread across multiple servers.
Elevated account privileges are required to run the ebs installer.
The software that must be installed on every application server is described in Technology Roadmap Current and Planned Versions and Technology Roadmap Version History.
ebs: ontrack Hub and ebs: ontrack Learner Hub do not require direct database access and may be installed on a server without the database client tools. Database connectivity is provided through a web service layer which may be installed on a separate application server.
The ebs: one workflow service requires port 52615 to be open from the hosting server so that the ebs: central client can connect to the ebs workflow service.
